About Stephanie

After taking a break from her usual pursuits in 2009 to get married and gestate (eventually giving birth to her first child, Dashiell Alexander in December), Stephanie returned to work in 2010 and is currently adapting the YA novel series CHALET GIRLS for Occupant Films (The Wackness, Peep Show) and Michael Eisner’s Vuguru.

A graduate of both NYU (BFA) and USC (MFA) film schools, Stephanie has written pilots for CBS-Paramount, Fox TV Studios and The CW as well as penning a remake of Disney’s FLIGHT OF THE NAVIGATOR. Her original script PROMISES was made into the feature-length drama SEX AND THE USA, which premiered at the 34th Festival du Cinema Americain in Deauville France, 2008 and in 2009 she worked as a ghost writer on a popular YA novel. She also has an active interest in the web, and in addition to creating and producing two transmedia (integrated web and tv) pilot presentations with FTVS (in 2007 and 2008), has worked with and written for sites as diverse as National Lampoon, Suicide Girls, California Psychics and The Cradle. She is a member of the WGA and is represented by manager Jay Sanders and attorney Karl Austen.
